Go Get Some Rosemary
17.11.2009
Brothers Josh and Ben Safdie saw a film by Ronald Bronstein, and after a screening addressed the director, trying to convince him to act in their new project. After five months of persuasion, Bronstein finally decided to overcome his uneasiness of seeing himself on the big screen and agreed to do it. Thus, Go Get Some Rosemary was made in less than six months thanks to overwhelming creativity and exceptional collaboration between the crew members.
After the morning screening at the Kinodvor Cinema the lead actor, Ronald Bronstein, talked to the spectators. He answered question about the process of filming, on how it was to work with two young children and the director and how he tackled the role of a father (he is about to become one in real life). His character, the self-obsessed divorcee Lenny, whom he would call inspiring only reluctantly, was based on Ben in Josh Safdie’s father, which invests the film with an air of intimacy.
